BIASED Book Cover

This book cover was an entry the University of South Carolina’s First Year Reading Experience. After reading, BIASED, Uncovering the Hidden Prejudice That Shapes What We See, Think, and Do, I sought to design a cover that would uniquely illustrate some of the concepts explored by Dr. Jennifer Eberhardt. To visualize how we all at times see stereotypes before the person, I drew a person composed of objects that are generally associated with common stereotypes of different people from an American’s point of view. The all white book cover with the embossed design references a chapter of the book that comments on the phrase “I don't see color”.
